Well, what do you know…
June 30, 2009…I have a life. Been gone for so long, that I barely recognized my blog. But if you must know, I have been continuing my pursuit of my dream to gain financial success.
My list of debts gave me quite a pleasant surprise last week as I have managed to pare it down to half! Woooohoooo! Am getting there and I guess it feels good to see results and how near I am to getting back on the black. But don’t get me wrong, it will still take about another year and half before I completely am out of debt. Am willing to wait though and I guess, that’s what makes erasing it a lot more sweet.

Remember the guerilla tactics I employed around September or October last year? Well, we are in the last stages of negotiations. I should have it in the bag before the month ends as the bosses there want the software deployed in six of their branches before August.
I can’t stress enough, how this deal changes the whole landscape of the company’s future. I am happy but also wary of the stress this deal will bring on us. I have created a one year timeline of installations for all their branches (there are a lot). Don’t know why I did that, but I figured the earlier we install, the better for the company. It’s going to be rough, but heck, that’s how fortunes are made.

Bella was complaining to me about two weeks ago that a lot of people tease her because of her tummy (it has grown big really because of eating too much) so one time I went home early so that I can jog at the Philsports Arena, she then asks if she could come along. I told her that I would just be walking to Ultra and that it’s going to be a steep incline, to which she replied no problem.
At that point, I was wary of her as she’ll say anything just to be able to come with me. Lo and behold, we haven’t even gone half the incline and she starts asking if we could rest for five minutes. I then reminded her that I don’t want to be hearing complaints as I specifically told her that it would be a steep climb.
At anyrate, we do get to the oval eventually and start jogging. Holy Mama! Two laps and I was out of breath. Man am I out of shape or what? What’s funny was Bella jogged for about half a lap and started to roam around the area exploring.
I’ve been trying to make it an every Wednesday thing, but lately the rain and work have been getting in the way. So this will have to wait.

The gang and I spent one Thursday in Anawangin. Cool place. Loved the beach, and the clean air. It was roughing it but hell, I haven’t done that for a long time and enjoyed the experience tremndously.
However, one experience made it quite scary though. In order to get to the beach, one must ride a “banca” (small motorized boat like a canoe with bamboo shoots connected on both sides to prevent it from capsizing). The trip going there was uneventful. The trip going back was another story. As we carried the banca from the beach back into the water, a relatively large wave meets it. We get inside only to find out that the motor has gotten soaked. The boatman, then tries to get it started while we drift out into the open sea. What makes it worse is that the tide was coming in, hence the waves were getting pretty huge.
So there we were probably 15 minutes later still floating around aimlessly, I wanted to tell the boatmen to get back to shore but the morbidly, sick side of me wanted to see how all of this would play out. Was already picturing getting stuck in an island alone with the football that one of us brought along and calling it wilson. On the other hand, was also playing scenes of Jaws in my head as well. Then all of sudden the boat starts. However, we now had another problem. The waves have become huge! It was tossing the boat around every chance it got and sitting in front of the damned contraption only made me the shield for saltwater splashing.
Obviously we made it and had a nice dinner at Subic, before heading home. Anyway, my being still here is a testament to the saying that bad grass live long.

Met up with high school friends last Saturday. Funny part was that we were talking about our kids. LOL. I guess, we have aged.
