I’m Alive!
July 16, 2008Oh man, been so busy the past days that I have completely forgone writing. First and foremost, Igor is still with me (yey!). Ex has had no luck getting a nanny and really I don’t mind! Take your time and choose wisely, while I enjoy the company of the little man.
Second, I went to my friend’s dad’s wake last Saturday. It was the last night and I needed to convey a sense of solidarity with my friend. It was amusing cause, we met up with other friends, who I have not seen in a long time and they invited me and leej out after.
We left around 12am and arrived at Harbour Square at the CCP. Anyway, we got to meet some people and I finally got home at 5:30AM!
Woke up around 9:30am Sunday, cause my phone kept on ringing! It was ex, trying to make sure that Igor was ready cause she wants to spend some time with him as he will be staying with me for the whole week. So I prepared Igor and asked the nanny to bring him down so that ex can pick him up.
Last but not the least, Bella has been sick for the past six (6) days! She has been puking and I brought her to Healthway Shangri-La to have a check up. Turns out to be dyspepsia and all that puking is dehydrating her. Doctor actually wanted to confine her already, but the poor girl is so afraid of needles that she didn’t want to. So I asked the Doctor that maybe she can prescribe some medications that we can try first before deciding to have her admitted to a hospital. She gave oral rehydration salts and motillum.
So far, Bella has responded to the meds. But I had to stay with her Monday, to make sure that she took them and at least try to keep them in. Working at home is such a struggle, cause you will have Igor asking to sit on your lap and pressing anything his little fingers can reach on the keyboard. Then you have Bella asking you to hold her hand. I found it weird, so I asked her why. She then answers, “cause that’s what people do when someone is sick“ Suppressing the snicker, I told her that she is alright and basically just needs to rehydrate herself with lots of liquids. I think that she can go back to school by tomorrow.
Yesterday was one hell of a day at work as well. Payday and lots and lots of computations then projections then some meetings. Hell it was stressing and I guess what made it worse was that I was worried for Bella the whole day.
She slept earlier than us and as Igor and I prepared to go to sleep, he then starts coughing like he is having an asthma attack. It is a sort of coughing that is in a way, you reckon the next logical step is some serious puking. This, after Bella gave the bed a little sprinkling of her own earlier. Anyway, in one quick sweep I got the trash can and pointed his head in it’s direction. I waited and waited and waited…….and waiiiiiited (hell, I wasn’t about to sleep on a puke covered bed!). Nothing happened. Whew, what a relief. But to wash away the suspicion that he was just waiting for me to take the trash can away before he let’s loose, I nebulized him.
And now, I’m back in the office. The kids are alright. Bella has more appetite, and Igor was still asleep when I left. But sheesh, it has been a colossal past 5 days.

Cocoy, you just witnessed a hectic week for me. Otherwise, I go to work, go home, eat, help bella with assignments, play warhammer, prepare them for bed then I read before going to sleep. The following day is basically the same. But having both of them with me is a blessing by itself. So I try to enjoy their company as much as possible.
Lagot ka! May bago kang phone pal! Hehehehe
my pleasure, haha!
