May 30, 2008I think that I am more or less back to my old self. What made me say that? Hmmm, don’t know, maybe it’s because I feel different. But different means it’s not normal right? Well, precisely my point. That’s who I am.

Last week, a memo comes from the building administrator stating that no one is allowed to smoke in the fire exits anymore. This means that all smokers will have to go down and smoke in front of this butt ugly building! Alright, bitterness peeping. **virus breathes deeply and smoothens his hair.** They just made one mistake. They invited me to the board meeting this June for all unit owners and boy will this issue certainly be raised up. Hehehehe

What do you do when a two year old swings at you like you’re Doctor Doom or the Green Goblin? Why you pick him up by the collar and throw him out of the window of course. Okay, okay I’m kidding. Lately Igor seems to be in the mood for play-fighting, though I think he forgot to include the word "play". So lately, my welcoming rites at home is a headbutt on the jaw, two little fists on my chest, a foot on my forehead, and a butt smash on my tummy. Don’t let what he does to me scare you. Show him a cockroach and he runs screaming like a two year old little girl. Hahahaha

I’ve seen indy with a dear friend two saturdays ago. As much as I am a fan of Indiana Jones, it wasn’t as spectacular as I expected. Although, the usual concoction of comedy, action and learning where there (which are what made me a huge fan of IJ in the first place), I’ve read that there were so many inaccuracies in their facts. Sort of turns me off as an opportunity to learn seems to have been tainted with unreliable data. However, Cate Blanchett is as classy ever . But I guess, I’d still buy a dvd of it to complete the collection.

Never knew that Board Meetings could be so exciting. Everyone expected the Lopezes to retain control of Meralco, yet the stock price plummetted as the board meeting drew near. A friend of mine was so confident that once the Lopezes maintain their hold on power that the stock price would go up. Thinking that he is a such a genius, he buys shares a day before the board meeting. Two days later, newspapers scream the headlines that indeed the Lopez clan has kept control of the power company. But wait, it’s price is not going up! In fact it’s going down! As of this writing, my genius of a friend is losing 33k. Hahahahaha! The unforeseen event that happened? He didn’t expect that GSIS GM Winston Garcia would continue to question the credibility of the meeting and election of board of directors through legal means. He is now worried if he will dispose of it at a 10% loss or hold on till the prices go up again. Problem with holding on to it is that the last time Meralco had problems, the stock price went down from a high of 60 pesos per share to just 10 pesos. Now that’s going to be a very looooooooooong time for your money to be sleeping.

Yep, it did provide some sort of closure and I agree, they could’ve used more of Cate Blanchett. Don’t get me wrong. I’m a rabid fan of indy and I’d take this film no matter how disappointing it is. Hehehehe

Nakalimutan ko yung ’s’ sa last post ko. Hehe. Laro tayo ulit CS.
Posted by möbius at June 6, 2008, 11:27 pmAcccck! for the not so familiar with the local investing terms, “ipits” or “ipit” is a forced upon strategy known as buy and hold in the negative sense, meaning the prices have plummeted to low lows and an investor hopes that these prices go up sooner or later.
Just had to clarify that Mobius for the benefit of other readers.
Anyway, set up your office network and let’s get it on!!!! You know how the saying goes…..”If you build it, they will come.” Hahahaha.

yeah, i was a bit disappointed by Indy Jones 4, too. by itself, the movie was ok but if you compare it with its predecessors… it just suffers in comparison. also, cate blanchett is underused here. still, the film provided a closure of some sort
