Remembering the Crazy Dates
January 8, 2008When I found myself emancipated last year, I exercised my freedom by going into dating sites. Okay, okay, I admit not all of them were dating sites. Awww come on! You try going without for a long time!! Let's see how long you'll last. Hehehe, kidding of course, but damn, some of my more interesting encounters happened on those sites that I won't mention. Hehehehe.
Anyway, am going to enumerate some of those experiences in a series of posts so please try to keep an open mind.
Candidate #1 was very fluent in English. What initially attracted me to her was that. We even enjoyed reading the same books. She was very easy to talk to and I felt comfortable with her. Anyway, so the stage was set for a meeting after much flirting and sexual innuendoes from her and I guess, out of curiousity, I decided to give it a go. Bear in mind, I have never seen this woman, so I was prepared for surprises. Of course, some things in life you really can't expect even if you try your darndest best to prepare for them. In effect, she turned out alright. Dinner was great lots of talk about our lives and……(hmmm, I think that's her fourth beer already) but of course, I tried to focus on what she was saying. I really wouldn't mind the drinking, but for crying out loud it was a tuesday and I do have to wake up early to help my daughter prepare for school ya know.
Anyway, at this point you all probably realize that the attraction levels were not equal. Hey, her mind was of orgasmic proportions but I guess, there just wasn't any spark. So at the end of the night, I walked her to her car. She parked quite far off so we continued talking and before I knew it, she was holding my hand. So all this time I was thinking, "Uhm, okay, we are in a public place, what the heck can she do huh?" Not meaning to sound so hypocritical, as I know men would love to have been thrown in such a situation, but I did enjoy the attention she was giving me. I guess, coming from the lowest ebbs of my self-esteem in years, it was a welcome change. Anyway, it was around 9pm already and I was getting anxious to go home.
So after 15 minutes of walking we finally got to where she parked. "Finally!" I thought to myself. We were headed to her car when all of sudden, she throws herself at me and kisses me on the lips. Caught by surprise, my hands and arms were spread eagled against her car while her lips were pressed to mine. "Hoookay, this is getting out of hand!" I alarmingly said. But hell, I had a couple of drinks myself, so my refusal came out as a token resistance. However, after the kiss, I did tell her that she has had a little too much to drink. When she said that she really wanted to *wink, wink*, I had to politely decline and told her that we can always do "it" when she is more sober and it wouldn't feel like I was taking advantage of her reduced capacity to think logically. At anyrate, she was nursing a broken heart and as much of a pig I can sometimes be, it just wasn't right.
Anyway, I asked her to have coffee with me to take away some of the spirits that plagued her. Heck, I couldn't let her drive in that state. Also, there was a lot of reassurances that I refused not because of her but because of the circumstances. She looked like a nice girl who was just struggling with emotional baggage. She did thank me after and gave me a peck on the cheek.
She never did call me again, and I wasn't inclined to follow up.

You’re a decent guy, virus. You didn’t take that encounter as an opportunity to, err, draft something for FHM. That’s my first reaction when you’re talking about how you refused her advances. So yeah, I’m not echoing liz but now that she’s said the same thing as I, that would make two of us your cheerleaders, eh?
Now if more guys are like you (or me haha), but then again that’s why you call yourself a “virus” eh?
Posted by nightdreamer at January 9, 2008, 1:26 pmWell guys, you make it sound like I’m a saint and I must remind you that decent guys finish last. Case in point? Moi! Hehehehe.
But seriously, that woman was a lady compared to the next one I will write about. Haha!
Anyway, thank you for the kind words. Much appreciated.
Though, honestly speaking, I was thinking of getting a different reaction. Hehehe.
What kind of reaction were you expecting?
“OMG DAT WAS UR CHANCE N U LET IT SLIP UR A MORON ROFL!!!!111111″

Posted by liz at January 9, 2008, 9:54 pmHahaha! You should hear the reactions I got from my friends when I told them that. I will have to censor my blog to write it all down here.

I guess, some people really just fall apart when emotions are involved. Imagine, she was willing to give her all to a complete stranger just to make her feel good (like that is what’s going to happen after).
Anyway, I really think she’s a nice woman, just a little off tangent that time.
