Scatter Brained Thoughts
May 18, 2007Reckless abandon, that is what I miss. Problem with growing older, is that one suddenly has a realization of how one's life is tied to others. All of sudden, your decisions are based on considerations of how these will affect the people around you.
I miss the glory of youth. I miss drinking with my childhood friends and how we would drink until we exchange the contents of the glass with contents of our stomachs. Yeah, gross I know. But hell, it was complete abandonment of reason and propriety. Not a care in the world, just the pursuit of what is perceived will make us happy.
In a way, most of us still do this today. Well not drink ourselves silly but pursue what we think will make us happy. We work very hard because we feel that we are after success, or to put it more succinctly, we are after our own fulfillment. Our joy, our happiness.
The difference as you grow older, are the goals. It used to be to just get buzzed and I would be happy. Nowadays, it's a successful career, a healthy emotional state, peace and tranquility. Though to analyze it deeper. A successful career and peace and tranquility is an oxymoron. When you have a successful career, rest assured peace and tranquility are nowhere to be found. Unless of course you are at home in a busy environment, then there is the possibility of being fulfilled.
But I ramble as always.
So anyway to close this belly acheing entry. I would like to ask you a question: Why did Virus cross the road?
Answer: Cause his dick was stuck in the chicken! Hehehe.

“your decisions are based on considerations of how these will affect the people around you.” JESUS, MARY AND JOSEPH!!! in tagalog! SUSMARYOSEP! this is sooo true… tiring ain’t it? i guess you’re right about the hormones…i try to be patient with everything because i noticed that i get ticked off with just about anything which isn’t really good for my marriage … anywho…about your question on one of your comments …nope, i don’t know your ex and i have no idea who she is … so don’t fret!! no one is spying
well, cheers and i hope we find what we’re looking for real soon!
Ches, in way the inner child has to stay in the corner for a while, while daddy, goes out and deals with reality. Hehehe. The child, I guess is always there. Otherwise, my kids and I won’t be getting along that well if not. But just too much going on right now. Don’t worry, the kid in me will proabably show itself once again when I have overcome most of the tasks at hand. I promise!
CCC, I guess that’s what happens as soon as you get married. First, it’s the spouse, then of course the kids. Suddenly, “me” becomes “we”. But before anyone mistakes me and thinks I resent it…..No. It just gets frustrating sometimes because action plans become complicated when it requires a very simple solution if there were no other considerations. Oh well, we deal with the hand that was dealt us.
Hope you are doing well and taking care of your babies. Yeah, including the big guy! Hahahaha.
Oh yeah, by the way. I am VERY relieved that you don’t know my ex. Good too, cause she’s psychotic. Hahahahaha.
