After a gruelling day at the office, I was ready to settle down to a nice game of God of War.  Dinner was over and Bella was already seated in front of the tv to watch.  As I place the disc inside, anticipation building, the lights go out.  Awww CRAP! Weekend Stories

Last Friday, while having  met a friend, going to the bank, going to 711, going up and down the building and finally meeting the programmer, I decided to sit on the conference table and noticed my fly was open.   Not just open, it was really open! HOLY CRAP! I've been running in and out of the building most of the morning!  No wonder I was getting stared at more than usual.  Tsk, tsk, tsk. (more…)

Gratitude

Two hours is long to sit in front of a computer.  Yes, I have been here staring at this screen, tryin' to figure out what to write.   TWO HOURS!  Then I got to thinking how my life is undergoing a complete turnaround from the last three years of hell and I figured I may as well be thankful for the blessings I have.  So I sit here thinking of the smallest things that make my life worth living:

Scatter Brained Thoughts

Reckless abandon, that is what I miss.   Problem with growing older, is that one suddenly has a realization of how one's life is tied to others. All of sudden, your decisions are based on considerations of how these will affect the people around you.

Could’ve, should’ve..

It's Saturday night, and I don't have the kids with me.  I was supposed to go out tonight, but cancelled at the last minute.  I was just so tired.  Been up since 5am.  Had to see Igor today, as yesterday was his birthday and I wanted to use this day to celebrate with him.  So I got Bella ready and we went to ex's office by 9am.  There we proceeded to the Coffee Bean and Tea leaf in Greenbelt 3 where I had my morning brew while the kids were playing hide and seek.  Went to kids at work by 10 and let them have fun.  Then we proceeded to the center of Glorietta where we watched this Strawberry shortcake show, pretty boring of course but the kids had lots of fun.  Then we ate at Burger King for lunch and started window shopping for gadgets and stuff that I really can't afford but would like to own.  I finally got home by 5pm.

So Near and Yet So Far………….

Eversince I was a young boy, many many moons ago, I have always believed that I am destined for greatness.   Greatness is such a vague term though.  Although, I would much prefer to be great in the worldly sense, spiritually speaking, greatness becomes something that is feared.  Feared in a sense that you would NOT like it to happen to you, why? Well, sacrificing your life for someone is great.  For us catholics, suffering in silence is great.  These great acts are celebrated in the halls of catholic schools, churches and convents and constitutes the ultimate sacrifice that one can undertake.  (more…)
